Chase Bank is the business name of JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., and is a national bank that is made up of the commercial and consumer banking subsidiary of JPMorgan Chase. Chase is one of the Big Four banks in the United States, and has more than 5100 branches and 16100 ATMS across the nation. Chase has it's headquarters in Chicago, and has since it merged in 2004 with Bank One Corporation. Chance can trace it's history back to 1799, with the founding of The Manhattan Company, as Chase National Bank, which itself was founded in 1877, merged with The Manhattan Company in 1955. Chase has an annual revenue of $58.716 billion USD (2009) and a net income of $857 million USD (2009) and employs over 240,000 people worldwide. They have divided up their services under the divisions of Card Services, Commercial Banking and Retail Financial Services. They operate in over 60 countries, serve millions of consumers and have assets of $2.2 trillion USD. They are traded on the stock exchange under NYSE:JPM, and their stock is a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
